The Wii U is expected to come out, and to be priced at 300 dollars. I think that will be a great price, because the Wii, when it first came out was really appealing to kids and non-hardcore gamers. Of course I'm not saying theres no hardcore gamers on the Wii but there scarce. Those non-hardcore gamers like something cheap and fun to play with, and with 300 dollars for this compared to prices like 500-600 for other releases like Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 its great.
The price is going to be great, but lets hope its gonna fix the Wii's reputation. The Wii, in the general eye, is seen as a low graphics, kiddy, and just a all out bad console. Graphics aren't everything, but to many people they will base something right off the graphics. They judge a book by its cover. I hope that with the Wii U coming out in a end of 2012 to 2013 release date it will be a lot more powerful than the 360 and the Playstation 3. I think it will, for obvious reasons. This console was also seen only for kids. This is partially true as more kids bought it and wanted it. Some parents wanted it because it was different than other consoles and the Wii you had to get off your lazy butt. But to the main gamers, they preferred to just stay on the couch with a regular controller.
The Wii U should make a come back and just stomp everything in the ground, but then we have to remember when the original Wii came out. Everyone saw it as a console that was just gonna wipe everything out. But it really didn't. Lots of people bought it, and then bought the other consoles and left the Wii to get dusty. I ask a lot of people and they just say they have a Wii, but they don't touch it.
Lets all hold hands and pray that it doesn't come out as a bunch of horse poop.
